iPhone 5s will not power on

Recently the screen of my iPhone 5s started to look strange - it had horizontal white lines across the entirety. I disassembled it in order to clean the connections, but when I tried to turn the phone back on, it ceased to function entirely. The screen would no longer turn on, and it no longer vibrated or made any noise. The battery gets warm when I charge it, and I can hear the hard disk.

Things I have tried:

-disconnecting the battery and holding the power button

-hard reset

-restore

-checking the screen connectors and making sure they were placed properly

-"charging" overnight

If anyone thinks they can diagnose the problem, any input would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the screen has just completely died after showing signs of it being a faulty screen. Was the screen replaced before? because the quality of the screen may have contributed to the issue occurring.

Anyway, to fix this problem the screen will probably need to be replaced.

You can buy an iFixit iPhone 5s replacement screen from here:

Guide to replace the screen if you haven't done one before / familiar with screen replacement:

iPhone 5s Screen Replacement

Note if you do decide to replace the screen with one that has the full assembly:

The fingerprint scanner / touch ID functionality of the home button is linked to the logic board meaning that if you use another home button, touchID will not work.

Edit: The phone is showing no signs of life so disregard this post for now

Thanks for your help Ben. But why would a faulty screen cause the vibrator and speakers to stop working?

Sorry about that, I forgot about the phone showing no signs of life into account when creating this post.

This sounds like more than the screen being the issue, were the 4 screws for the screen cable connectors on the logic board put into the correct holes?

What connectors did you clean specifically?

Try plugging the phone into a computer and see if the iTunes application can detect it at all.

iTunes was able to recognize my phone enough to perform a restore, but it asked me to respond on my phone to trust the computer, which could not be done.

by

I cleaned the three connectors on the top right, and one of the screws on the shield seems to be stripped, although I might just be placing them incorrectly.

Okay so then the phone does still turn on and boot up fine, if its not showing any sound or vibration it is maybe in silent mode / vibrate mode (also depends how you set it up in sound settings)?
