PRAM reset on every cold boot

Since a month I have to reset the PRAM on every cold boot.

Is it possible that the PRAM battery is empty?

I have no other problems (no video problems, no crashes, nothing) just the boot problem.

Disconnect from the internet, which will reset your clock correctly, if it is turned on to do so automatically if set up that way in your date and time setting, overnight. If your clock is wrong in the morning then your battery has died.

I would also unplug the machine overnight after turning go the automatic time reset.
