Blue then red screen. No screw damage.

Got Iphone 5s from customer saying it went dead. Battery was completely discharged. With new battery apple logo appeared but then the dreaded blue screen then apple then red screen and so on.

This has not been worked on and no previous screw damage.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

It's a bit weird how I've gotten a few dead battery iPhones stuck on apple logo, even with a new battery they had to either be updated or restored.

I ran into this problem yesterday with a customer's phone. With my customer, the phone was water damaged, though. You may want to ask if there was any water damage to the phone recently. You can always tell if there is water damage by looking at the "water damage indicators" which is a small white/red sticker above the battery.

White = No water damage.

Red = Water damage.

If the indicator is red, it is more than likely a water damaged motherboard and will result in more cost in parts and labor than most customers are willing to spend.

A few other things to try:

-Unplug the rear facing camera and try to power on. It has been known to cause issues similar to this.

-Try a new battery.

-Clean all the connections with denature alcohol and let it dry.

Good luck!

Thanks very much for the suggestion.

There are no signs of Water danage at all. I have tried disconnecting all hardware and no difference. I've also cleaned all connector .

Interestingly there is no current drawn when charger put in. Could a u2 IC possible cause this.

It's on a constant loop of Apple logo, blue screen, apple logo then red screen.

Very strange.

Thanks again for the help!!!
