iPhone 5s screen unresponsive after repair

Hi, Hope you can help.

My iphone 5s screen had lifted on the top right corner..the screen worked perfectly for about 6 months. I then got the screen replaced (not at an istore). The screen then worked perfectly for another couple of months..got it replaced again(not at an istore). This time, after the replacement the touch worked for about 5min..Went back to store that previously replaced my screen, worked perfectly for about 20 min..I now Live somewhere else, and my screen still only works for about 2min every time i restart the phone.Could it be my housing that is causing the problem?or some connections inside?I have reloaded the previous software, I have erased the phone, updated the software but still nothing.

Its possible that the screen is bad. If you had 2 drops that broke screens within a couple of months, its also very probable that the board has damage that is causing the issue. The only real way to tell is to try another screen, from a reputable retailer like iFixit, and see if that works. If that doesn't fix the issue, then you know its board damage. Without seeing the phone, I can't diagnose it but I wouldn't be surprised to see a loose connector or damaged IC.

So try a new screen that is good, not the cheapest you can find. Also, invest in a good case for you phone so you don't damage it any further.

Thanks for you help Josh.

Think i will be going to pay a little more for better quality. Hopefully its not the board.(is that replaceable?)

I also think before getting the new screen will have the guys check if there are any loose connections as well

Its very possible to get a new board. Its also possible to repair yours. It all depends on how much you want to invest.

I too hope that its just a screen. It would be my first thing that I check. The cheap screens out there are getting worse and worse as time goes on. I've been seeing a ton of people have huge problems with numerous bad screens in a row lately, especially with the 5 series iPhones. I won't bore you with the details of why its happening, but ordering a quality screen is usually the fix.
