Is my phone screen damaged?

I recently purchased a 6s plus on ebay, but when doing a hard reset noticed the screen look all weird for a second.

Here's a picture:

Does anyone know why this might be? I can't find any answers online. Thank you so much!

Looks like a damaged screen to me. Replacing the screen should fix it.

I should add, it only looks like this for a split second before it reboots. The rest of the time it looks normal.

Here'a a short video of it happening: View My Video

Thank you so much for your advice!

Does the touch work?

More than likely its a bad screen. Otherwise it could be a bad touch IC. If the screen works and touch works, it might be worth leaving alone. If the touch does not work, then its almost certain the touch IC is bad.

Thanks so much for replying. Everything works as normal. 3D Touch works and screen looks great. I only noticed when I did a hard reset. So do you not think it needs replacing?

If it only displays it on hard reset right before shut down when holding home and power then I personally would not replace it if it works fine under normal use.

That screen is expensive and there isn't any promise that swapping the screen would fix it. However, if its still under warranty from Apple, I would go to the Apple store and talk them into swapping the phone.
