I am having problems with the AM/FM radio on my Insignia NS-BCDCAS1
whenever i listen to music in my basement my radio does not seem to function properly

Is the antenna hooked up? Try a bigger antenna going out a window or something.

Listening to the radio in your basement can be tricky due to the lack of signal, but have you taken Gigabit878's advice and checked if your antenna is hooked in properly? If it isn't something as simple as this you might want to check out their troubleshooting page here. Good luck.
