making the foam mattress pad fit the queen size mattress

I currently have a regular queen sized mattress but its firm but it was new and free. it is also uncomfortable, so I purchased one of those foam mattress toppers to put on top of the mattress. Now I sleep better but the problem is even though the topper is supposed to be queen sized ...it slips and slides and doesn't meet all four corners of my existing mattress. Which mean every morning I must pull or tug it back to the other side. How or what can I do to prevent this from happening?

@decodiva67 really not much you can do about it. If it is really bothersome I'd go with some wide industrial strength Velcro between the topper and the mattress.

cassandra, Bare mattress material pretty slippery, try putting a fitted cotton sheet on the bare mattress, then the mattress topper, then another fitted sheet, holds pretty good. Other methods are carpet tape(2 sided tape), sheet garter(corner-elastics at the dollar store), anti slip mats for under carpet or as drawer liners also found dollar store, hardware stores, etc. cut a couple into wide strips and place between pad and mattress at corners and middle perimeter.

I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.
