need surface mount part for video connector

Yes the title says it all , we were taking the monitor off of a 27" (and when i say we i mean a co-op) and forgot to unplug the video cable from the main board, the surface mount female connector got pretty messed up . we could band-aid it but we need to take the cover on and off to do testing on different hdd's . My question is does anybody know if that connector is used on different model imac's ? and if you have a bad main board that I could harvest the connector off of let me know russ.vagt@hgst.com

First of all, why on earth are you doing your HDD testing on an iMac. There are USB adapters, enclosures and lots of machines where an HDD swap is easier. As for the connector i would "McGyver" something. Such as soldering the wires for instance.

Good luck!
