I took apart my ps4 to clean the cooling fan from dirt and dust. I put it back together now the blue ray drive will not insert disks and the eject button will not work. I have the first model of the ps4 where it has the glossy faceplate for the hard drive.

Check your ribbon and wire connections. When you reassembled, you may not have fully inserted the connections. Did you take apart the Bluray drive when you took the console apart? I sometimes forget to check the ribbon connections to the daughterboard.
When you say you took it apart, do you mean the Bluray drive or the console? If you took the Bluray drive apart, the ribbons push into the connectors. Sometimes the ribbons don't push all the way in so the signal from the mother board never reaches the drive.

I made sure that all the ribbon cables were connected properly, I took it apart twice to do that. Maybe I damaged one of the cables. I did leave the bottom case off of the console and set it upside down, the laser eye in the blue ray moved back and forth like it was trying to read something , but nothing was in the drive.
I took the whole console apart.
I did not take the blue ray drive apart.
I put it back together, but I did not put the bottom case on. I had the console upside down , and I turned it on. It looked like that the laser eye was moving back and forth. I could tell by the ribbon cable moving back and forth.
It will just not feed the disc in the drive or the eject button will work not even a beep.
