Can I put Mac in rice to dry out?

Can I put my computer in rice to dry it out after water spilled into the keyboard? Any other ideas?

@agabriella Rice does not do anything. It is the equivalent of doing nothing. ifixit has long adapted the philosophy that this myth about rice as a tool must disappear. Read more about that on here http://www.riceisfordinner.com/

Putting it in rice is not going to dry out the insides of your your mac. It needs to be opened, and any liquid/corrosion will need to be removed. There's not really any shortcut that will effectively do the job.
