Black camera after display repair.

Hi, i just dropped my 64gb iPhone 6s and broke screen + lcd, when i repaired it my camera started to show a black screen and i'm unable to switch between front/rear cameras and use flash.

I bought a new original apple camera and changed with the old one, it didn't worked,

could the problem be the power management ic of the camera? If the anwer is yes how can i repair it?

Is still the u2301 from iPhone 6?

Thank you in advance for the answers, have a good day.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Was the battery unplugged during the whole process of the repair? If not then you may have shorted the camera ic chip on accident when removing / plugging in the screen ribbon cables.

it was not, i forgot sadly... this is the reason that make me guess is the ic, do you know the exact component name/location on the board? since i'm not able to find it on the net...

Some leads? i have no clue how to repair this :(

I have no info on where it is on the 6s unfortunately.

Hello Federico Vaccaro,

  • Inspect whether any component missing the near FPC connector

* Check the IC U2301 output & it should be 2.8V. if it is OK suggesting you to clean the FPC connector on logic board and carefully resolder it (micro soldering skills required)

Hope this answer will help you to fix the camera issue on your iphone. Good luck!

Hello friends,

I'm also having the same problem on an iphone 6s, has anyone figured out if it's the same as the 6th IC that caused the problem?
