MacBook will not power on at all

I've got a 2015 A1502 EMC 2835.

It does not respond to the power button.

I can reset the SMC, the MagSafe confirms this, however....

The MagSafe is green when the battery is connected and turns orange when the battery is disconnected. This is inverse to what I'm familiar with. I'm sure the battery is fully charged, but the MagSafe should not be orange with no battery connected.

Can you boot up in either Safe Mode or Target Mode?

no, the MacBook does not respond to the power button. no fans, no chime, no power of any sort.

Can you give us some background here on what happened. Did you bang the system or get it wet somehow?

i wish something had happened, it would give me a starting point for troubleshooting! it was working one day, and wouldn't power on the next. JUST outside of warranty by 2mo.

Some Apple people will respond if you ask for a "warranty exception".

Not much to go on here. Try this: disconnect the battery and mag-safe. Press and hold the power on button of 15 seconds. Reconnect and (pray first), give it a shot. Note anything tones or lights if it does not boot right up.

@Mayer - A bad case of insomnia last night?

@danj No, up trying to use an iPad to shoot uTube videos for posting Bible study.

amazingly enough, this MacBook was still under warranty!

apple techs clearly aren't skilled (or equipped) to diagnose component faults, but they did determine a logic board replacement
