Water Damaged or Not? What are my chances / options?

Greetings all,

Here is the story:

In our country, we have a high humid weather in the summer. That's I believe when my Iphone 5s collected some moisture while it was outside one night where humidity was very high. There was some moisture over the iphone's screen and I just wiped that out with a tissue. The phone was working fine during that night, even making calls with it. Late that night, the touch screen just stopped working so I rebooted the device thinking it was stuck or something. It didn't came to my mind that it might be a water damage. After multiple reboots, the touch screen won't work and now the phone is stuck in a loop of apple logo then blue screen.

Here is what I did:

I removed the sim card and looked for a red circle they say it tells you if the phone is damaged by water but couldn't see any red thing. I left the phone in a rice bag for two days, but it sill does the same thing (loop). The apple certified workshops in our town would do a format to the device, but my main goal is to get the data out of the phone.

A regular phone workshop used a machine with nano technology (they claim) to extract water from the device, but didn't work either. I tried to put the device into recovery and dfu mode, and tried to do an "Update" but error 9 comes out.

Any Suggestions?

I still haven't teared down the device into parts, but I'm planning to as a last resort. Before I do, I would appreciate your feedback about this. What are my options / chances?

Any recommendation is appreciated.

Thanks
