Why won't my computer start up?

I am the owner of a narcoleptic 15" Powerbook G4 circa 2005. I just recently took the plunge and did open heart surgery on it and plucked out the temperature sensor. Put the computer back together, and it now won't turn on. The green light on the batter is flashing green when it is plugged into the wall. Any suggestions?
