My iPhone 5S gets stuck at red battery icon after battery dies?

My iPhone 5S gets stuck at red battery icon after battery completely dies. The time before the iPhone turns on varies. Sometimes it takes 2-3 days, sometimes hours, and sometimes normally. A few days back some water got into the iPhone. If I lost the FL 11 it shouldn't even be charging and the same if my U2 IC chip was damaged and logic board burnt out. I tried a new battery but the same thing happens. Should I disassemble everything and try to dry the inside and parts even though I don't think there would be moisture inside?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Have you checked the charger port for any debris / gunk if the lightning cable does not fully plug into the charger port?

I remember a iFixit user saying here that they had to replace some IC chip that was related to the charging circuit. It definitely wasn't the U2 but some other chip that is used when the battery voltage is below a certain voltage. That other chip probably only provides a very low current which would explain why it would take a long time for it to turn on at some points when it's flat.
