Thank you so much sir Josh W.... A friend of mine who owned a cellphone repair shop is currently check my unit and told me the defect of my Ipad Mini. But..... I am confused, someone told me MAYBE my unit will not be ok even if I buy the power IC. I don't know what's he's point... I'm just praying and hoping that my unit will be ok after buying and installing the power IC. Thanks a lot sir... I just miss my Ipad Mini......

The thing is that even the best repair guys are really only taking educated guesses at what is going on based on their knowledge and experience. Replacing the power IC *should* fix it. But no one can say for certain. We are dealing with very complicated electronics that contain countless small parts. Sometimes you fix one thing just to find out that another thing is bad. Sometimes you replace one thing only to find out that that thing wasn't bad.

There are no certainties in the world and electronics repair for sure is not an exception to that rule.

It is possible that it will survive. However, this is a repair that requires considerable skills and tools. I cannot tell you how much it would be since I am not sure if you are planning on doing the repair yourself or having someone do the repair for you.

It can be done, but you need to be skilled in micro soldering. It will survive...
