Why does my iPhone have lines going down the screen

My iPhone has coloured lines going down the screen and then it goes blue and goes back onto the apple sign and I've only had it a month plus I haven't dropped it what could this be?

Sounds to me like you have a broken display. May look into repairing that. This website has many guides, and I think you could do it for about $35.
