How do I get my info back after getting the phone wet?

Hi,

I droped my IPhone 3G into water and now it won't start up. I really need to get my stuff (numbers, pictures, etc.) out of it. Can you tear it apart and get my info back? Can I tear it apart and get my info back? I already bought a new IPhone so all I want is the info in the old one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

Lonnie

When you do a sync in iTunes, it automatically makes a backup of all of that information. Simply plug the new phone into the same computer, and it should ask if you want to restore from a backup.

The computer it was synced with is dead. I don't have that option any longer. I have learned a valuable lesson though. Back up often!!! I really need to get that info though.

You have more hope to get your backup file off the old dead computer then your iphone. Once you retrieve that information you might be able to transfer it to your new comp and restore your new Iphone to it. First off, Mac or PC?

Can you describe the failure the computer had? If it was anything but a hardware related hard drive crash then you will likely be able to get itunes sync files off it as well as any other data. Even if the information was erased on the drive you can recover it with free undelete software.

I'm not sure. My son is supposed to be coming and looking at it. The problem is I hadn't synced my Iphone for awhile so some of the info I really need won't be on the computer.
