Why is my samsung not turning on?

Hello. I have been having some problems. My Samsung S4 wont turn on. I don't know how this can happen because it has not been dropped in water or like anything that could have destroyed the phone, But it has been dropped on the sidewalk but it still worked after that. I would plug it into the outlet and let it charge but once it been over a day i take it out and try to turn it on again but it wont turn on. I'm thinking it may have something to do with the battery but i'm not sure. I was just using the phone like any other day and when i went to turn it off and turn it back on it would not turn back on. If anyone can help me i would appreciate it a lot!
