Why does my iPhone keep doing things on its own?

I have had my iPhone for about 3 months now, never dropped and never gotten wet. the other day when I turned my phone on, there where red and blue lines going up the screen. after that my screen is unresponsive and only works sometimes if its on the lowest brightness.
