My mac turns on but the screen stays black

My laptop is able to charge and turn on. However, the screen stays black. I've already tried all types of combinations, using the shift key for safe mode, using command option p and r, among others. I have no idea what to do. Should I change the battery? What can I do?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

We really need to know your exact machine as there are known issues on certain machines. Please go here and plug in the serial number from the back of your machine to find out what it is:

hello,

most likely it broke the GPU graphics card.

if you are using Apple Care warranty.

Otherwise you can try to connect an HDMI cable \ dvi \ post display and connect it to an external video so you can understand.

1- If the video on the external display works the problem is the display of your Mac to replace.

2- If the external monitor does not work the card is broken down.

There are of reeballing solutions that give good results but it becomes more a complicated welding operation at high temperatures on a motherboard with many other soldered components which can be damaged
