Block Image

retina 13-inch early 2015

Hi,

So yesterday morning i spill some coffee on my macbook, screen went black and stop. So i quickly unplug it and begin to open the case. When i did manage to open the case and clean the component inside, let it dry 24h and reassemble it.

It works when plug to the power supply, and it seems the battery is dead.

I want to replace it, with the kit on ifixit. My problem is 3 screw won t turn anymore with my screwdriver. And now i am stuck with a case that i cannot open.

What should i do ?

Thanks your help.

Those are T5 screws in this guide:

I would use a better driver with a top that swivels so you can press down on it with the thumb or palm of one hand and turn the body of the driver with the other. Also got for the screws that you are having problems with first leaving the others ones in to try to relieve any possible pressure on the bound screws. Here's the type of driver I use for this: T5 Torx Screwdriver
