Dear Sir/Madam,

My MacBook Pro 13" with Retina display (Model A1502) purchased in November 2013 has suddenly stopped working.

It shows only white screen on start with few black vertical lines towards the right side of the screen, please see the attached images. I have checked it by connecting to another monitor but it seems that it is not booting.

I shall be very thankful for any help in this regard.

Options

The SSD card needs to be checked. Try booting in Target Mode or placing in an OWC Envoy Pro enclosure.

However, the solution did not work. Removing SSD did not change anything. The white screen of death and black stripes are still there.

I was trying to get you to test the card not the machine. If you can't test it, hook up to an external hard drive with a current system on it and see if will boot. Try with the SSD in and out. That failing it's probably the GPU with the same issue as the 15" machine but did not get included in the class action law suit.

In that case you will either need a hot air rework station or gun to reflow the chip.
