DRopped my MacBook Pro! Still Loads, but...

I recently dropped my Macbook Pro and it turns on still, but once it turns on, it only shows my background with no icons, and it has the rainbow colored spinning wheel like it is thinking. It won't let me do anything, but move the cursor.

It continues to think until it falls asleep. How do I get it to finish starting up and stop "thinking"?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Start up from your system installation disk by holding down the "C" key. Go to the second screen pull down menu to Utilities -> Disk Utility and repair the hard drive and hen the permissions. Try restarting. If it fails go back and archive and install anew system.
