Why is my home button "sticky"?

I just replaced the screen on my iPhone 5s. When I transferred my home button to the new screen assembly, it doesn't work as smoothly as before. I think the best word to describe it is "sticky." Please help!

Does it work at all? You may need to replace the gasket, the rubber piece around the home button.

when you put the new screen on, it must align perfectly with the home button. Even if it's off just .1mm, it will cause the home button to "stick" take the screen back off and re-align the home button with it until it works properly.
