Home button not working and power button not working

The buttons still click but they do not respond at all. I can tell the home button is stuck on engaged logically because when I plug in the phone while off it turns off and goes into recovery mode. If I plug it in and take it out very fast it boots up fine.

It has been water damaged before. Any idea how I should clean the water damage off this phone? Everything else works fine.

Edit: Oh the time won't synchronize too.

Replaced front display, front camera assembly, earpiece speaker, charger port, home button and battery.

Chosen Solution

With water damage to this extent the cost involved in repairing it outweighs the cost of the phone.

To clean the liquid damage from your phone requires equipment that is probably worth around 5 times what your phone is worth. And also requires a lot of experience in board level repair.

No amount of replacing components will solve your issue as it requires the attention of someone experienced in board level repair
