dannymesser18 ifixit does not stock displays for that computer. Check online for HP part number 645095-001 if your computer is equipped with webcam and 645094-001 if not. Download the maintenance guide from the bottom of this page. No special tools needed just a set of Philips screwdrivers

Your LCD display 645094-001 uses a LED backlight, not CCFL.

It's an easy fix and should require no more than a Philips head screwdriver. Take the old LCD out first to ensure you are buying a screen with the right connector (LCD or CCFL) as they sometimes vary.

Once you get the old LCD out you will see what an easy job this is. Just take your time and be careful! :)

how would i tell which one it is

A CCFL has an inverter to power the backlight. LCD hasn't. So the easy way to tell is if there is just the one ribbon connector or whether there is an additional 2 pin plug that connects to the inverter

Hesitate to state the obvious but...maybe it is time to throw it out!

Sandy Perkins why? Spending $40USD and repairing the LCD to have a working laptop and keeping devices going, is a very sensible thing to do. Read this Fix the planet before giving that kind of advice.
