second screen vga to dvi-d

i got some vga screens at home wich i dont use and i want to use one as a second screen but is it possible if i get a vga to dvi-d adapter to use that as a second screen??

You cant turn an analog signal into a digital signal. You can only turn a digital signal into an analog signal.

So, dvi d to vga, but not vga to dvi. Do you have a video card in this desktop? If you do, you should have two outputs. Usually 1 for VGA and 1 for dvi. In that case you would plug one monitor to vga and then get a dvi d to vga adapter and connect the other.

Don't you mean a DVI to VGA adapter perhaps?

Now from what i know is that graphics cards came included with such an adapter, even the more recent ones like the R9 390X.

So yes, you could hook up a VGA display with such an adapter.
