What would prevent me from logging onto my laptop?

Every time I enter my password onto my G4 Aluminum 12" laptop account, the logging in window appears showing progress and then all I get is a blank blue screen. When I use someone else's account, I get the blue screen showing the Desk top and the Dock and everything works just fine.

Options

Your password file may be corrupted. I would boot into your system disk and change my password first. I would then run disk repair and permission repair to be on the safe side.
