home button not working

I just replaced my glass digitizer and everything works flawlessly except the home button now does not work. Is there any reason that this would happen? I followed the instructions to the letter none of the cables ever had any tension on them. Please help.

open phone back up , turn display over and check the 2 gold prongs on bottom of home button-- lift up gently with a flat head scewdriver. they often get flattened when changing display
