Fast charging not working Galaxy Note 4

I have a Galaxy Note 4 through sprint that will charge extremely slow. If the screen is on, it will still cause the battery to drain. I have connected 3 different Samsung Fast charger adapters with multiple cables. They all work on my Galaxy S6 but not on my Galaxy Note 4. I have replaced the battery with OEM and Non OEM batteries, replaced the charge port with an OEM charge port, and even replaced the screen with an OEM screen. I am still not able to get the Fast charger to work. I also did verify that the Fast Charger setting is turned on. Does anyone have any idea's what I can do?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

How slow is extremely slow and how long does it take to charge. By the way the phone will charge 2 amp ~ or around there max. Average 2-3 hours from 0 to 100%.

by

If i have it turned off it takes around 5 hours to charge, if I have any apps opened and running it drains faster than it can charge.

by

Turn off power saving mode if you have it enabled and keep fast charging on and see if that helps.

i tried that, I also factory reset the phone and it still will not fast charge. I am pretty sure it is going to be something with the board, so I am sending it into samsung., But I appreicate your help.

ever since the note 7 drama. Samsung has started fingering its charging code. I have the same problem which started the day after I updated to the latest firmware. Which is fast charge wont work. Nothing works in fact. The only way I could get it to charge is to use a very old dumb charger with a max output off 500 mili amps. Or plug it into the PC where data and slow charging happens. If its the port how is it able to charge and transfer data from the PC. USB doctor shows that if I use a smart charger it just shuts down the charger i.e. output goes zero. Charger shuts down.

THANK YOU SAMSUNG for messing with a perfectly working phone.

Plan to take it to a service center but their response is the same. Change port. Buy new bat and charger been there done that no help. The best part we cant even roll back the s/w without rooting and triping knox. Maybe I will try that next.

Yup changed the port and have two new bats, one direct from Samsung and one from Anker. Also use the fast charger that the phone came with and an Anker IQ3 "Qualcomm cert" batpak and Samsung factory car cords and charger.

It's not going to help.

OK, as many of you may have learned at this point there is a USB charge chip on the board backside left 2/3rds up that manages the "quick charging feature" that has failed. There is at least one example of someone replacing that IC and showing the fast charge feature working. ports, cords, chargers, no. This is a common issue on Note 4's. I love my 4 and still struggle with this issue but my solution was ditching the case and charging a second battery I keep in my EDC. Power save mode will get you charged still in 2.5 hours but regular speed charge will at best maintain the charge if your not using it full charging in 4 plus hours.

How slow it charge. For 100 % charging how long it takes. During charging you are using your phone or not.

And put in other galaxy mobile battery to your mobile and charge it and check it how long it take.

Also check other galaxy mobile how long it takes for 100% charge. 5 min difference is normal.

I have the same problem but after updating. I took it to the service centre they said that I need to change a chipset, and it will cost more than a new phone. They said that I have rooted my phone and that caused the problem. Any update with you guys?

Rooting does not damage chipset still remove all retooing software and restore your galaxy mobile to factory default remove all other software.

it is most likely charging port, mine has the same problem, will try to change the port

My solution was a lot easier, I purchase a back cover with a wireless charging pad built in, now my Note 4 charges normally, not fast charging with wireless but it charges way faster than with the cord.
