No Power and solid sleep light?

Hello,

My MacBook doesn't want to power up. I bought it on eBay for 13 dollars with bad ram and a cracked lcd. Replaced the ram, now I get a solid sleep light and it never goes away. Nothing on screen, not even the backlights. With a mini dvi adapter doesn't show any video either. Also no startup chime. Any help is appreciated!

Ps I already did the PRAM reset and the smc reset, no effect.

3 long tones, 3 short tones, 3 long tones – Firmware restoration from CD in process.

Try one RAM stick one at a time in each slot and see if you can identify the bad slot or stick or both. Is the Power on LED flashing? Also, what's the exact machine and what RAM did you install? Does it have a hard drive?

The cd drive is actually broken also, I'm using a 2gb stick and I've tried both slots. It's a MacBook 3,1 with a t7500 C2D processor. Gonna try to fix cd drive now.

It's probably this machine:

Apple MacBook "Core 2 Duo" 2.2 13" (White-SR) Specs

Identifiers: Late 2007 - MB062LL/B - MacBook3,1 - A1181 - 2200

It uses:

RAM Type: PC2-5300 DDR2 Min. RAM Speed: 667 MHz

Details: Supports 667 MHz PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM. Also see: How do you upgrade the RAM in the MacBook? How much RAM of what type does it support?

Standard RAM: 1 GB Maximum RAM: 6 GB*

Details: 1 GB of RAM is installed as two 512 MB modules, no slots free.

What did you put in it?

I put in 1x2gb but I decided to just scrap the MacBook and I took all the parts and put it into a MacBook 5,2 but now that logic board won't work either. To ifixit away! Lol

I looked this up and it was my first question on ifixit, ahh memories haha.
