In 2012, Sony Entertainment announced that the company would be releasing a new version of its 2006 Playstation 3 console. The new console is call the Playstation 3 Super Slim and is identified by the model number, CECH-4000. The PlayStation 3 Super Slim (CECH400x) is the third version of the PS3 video game console produced by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was released October 25, 2012.

Why is the display not showing?

When my Playstation 3 Super Slim turns on, the lights on the console show that it is booted. I can hear the audio of the Playstation but the display is not showing? Can this be due to a faulty cord or is this more of a serious problem?

Your problem is most likely not something very serious and can be quickly and easily fixed. The problem may either lie in the settings of your device or in a loose wire connection. Check out the PS3 Super Slim's troubleshooting page for more help with this kind of issue.
