Why will my iMac PPC 17" not start up?

When I press power button iMac does not start.

Please look on the bottom of the stand and give us your EMC #.

Try holding the "C" key while holding the power button. That worked with my iMac G5.

The "C" key directs the machine to boot from the disk drive.
