My DVD drive is not working

My DVD drive is not working, so I want that I should remove DVD drive from system and use the player with USB only. But system does not allow me for that. I want that I should use the DVD player without DVD drive present inside

The Model of my DVD player is IKON IK-091

Removing the DVD drive from a DVD player is probably more effort than it's worth, if it's broken, just deal with it until you get a new one.
