Typing letters in wrong position

When typing, quite often the type letter jumps back in the same line or on the previous line.

This may due to your palm of the hand touching the trackpad when typing. Try typing without your palm of the hand touching the trackpad.

This can happen with an overly sensitive touchpad. Some touch typists may brush the touchpad with the ball of a thumb, which moves the cursor on screen.

Try connecting a USB or wireless mouse, and then go into the Mouse control panel (main.cpl for those who like WIN+R shortcuts) and disable the touchpad.

Depending upon your model and drivers installed, your touchpad settings may have a "palm detection" option that makes the touchpad a bit less receptive to accidental contact.
