Battery dying, new battery won't solve issue

Have a Galaxy Note 4 a customer brought in and their battery will die after an hour or two. I can only get the phone to turn back on when I plug it back into the charger...even if the phone's battery has life. This is still the case with brand new batteries installed. Not sure if it's more likely a power ic or short. Has anyone ran into this issue and knows a fix? Any help would be great, thanks!
