Is logic board shot?

My 2008 A1278 2.0 MacBook makes no sound when LED light flashes, shows a grey screen 4 seconds after power button is pushed, doesn't have a caps lock light, and won't eject a disc. I'm guessing that the logic board isn't functioning. I would appreciate any other suggestion about what might be wrong.

Same results occur after running the routine. LED goes on for two seconds after pressing power button.

Disconnect the hard drive, then try it with the original system installation DVD.

A DVD is in it now that won't eject . Not sure what it is; it is one of the originals; the other one I have is the Applications Install DVD. Disconnected hard drive with same result. Can I remove the DVD some other way?

Several ways to eject the DVD. Try these two first, start up holding down the eject key. Next start up while pressing the trackpad button down.

Still nothing. Grey screen and short LED are the only results...
