Why is vertical lines showing on it
My phone is flashing pink and grey lines going up and down on my screen

It could be many things. Have you had any drops, incidents with water, or anything of the sort? Googling around, the problem seems to be fairly common. I would try to get ASUS to cover it if you can go without the phone for a bit, but if that is out of the question, you can try replacing the LCD module.

The LCD and glass are fused together, but it looks like there are a few different kinds of screens out there. If possible, you should open your phone up and take a picture of the ribbon cables on the inside.
I'd also recommend buying some thin double sided tape, as shown in the guide for this device here on iFixit.

I'm weird, that still didn't journalists who publicly written, that people with ASUS ZenFone 2 ZE551ML FLAGSHIP not only got a powerful phone, but also a massive failure of the screen :o
It's massive ASUS ZENFONE 2 ZE551ML screen flicker&vertical lines defect.
This is not a software problem, some phones came out before, but my phone, like many ZENFONE 2 users, appeared a year later.

Also facing same problem lines appear and touch did not work if press volume then work for 3 to 4 second is it hardware problem. and which replacement is original because on Aliexpres lat of LCD available.
