Broken Logic Board and Casing

I have a logic board where a small piece snapped off which I've reattached with superglue (see images).

Broken Piece Front

Broken Piece Back - does it look like there's something missing from the back?

Also, in the back casing of the phone, a black strip also broke (like part of an S shape) which I've been attempting to superglue but having difficulty (see images).

Snapped S Shape 1

Snapped S Shape 2

I'm not very technical so I'm wondering if these superglue repairs were a good idea or not. I don't know what function the broken pieces have and I'm not sure if the glue will contaminate etc.

Also, the phone is water damaged and I'm following a tutorial which advises to submerge the logic board in Isopropyl Alcohol. If I did this, would it be best to avoid contact between the alcohol and superglue as this would remove it?

Do you reckon the combination of these damages and the water damage amounts to giving up on the attempt of repair?/any other suggestions?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hello,

I do not have a complete answer for you, however I would bet a large sum of money that superglue will not help fix the issues you have described and pictured.

It is hard to tell if the snapped logic board will have affected any electronics on the board, if you are lucky it will have not but I couldn't say as I have never come across such a "snap"

The "S shape" is a Wireless Antenna Connector Flex Cable. This can be replaced easily by someone with the correct tools and knowledge to do so. Again I would safely place money on superglue not helping in anyway.

Submerging the logic board in Isopropyl Alcohol can help with water damage, but if any of the electronics have blown you will probably need to seek professional help, who will use high powered microscopes to re-solder the logic board.

I hope this helps slightly and good luck!
