replaced the disk drive on Xbox 360 will not play any games

I have replaced the disk drive on Xbox 360 and all its doing is just playing DVD's but will not play any games at all please help me with this getting it working

chrsicelltoys, you did not tell us how you replaced the drive. I am sure you know that you cannot replace " a defective DVD drive with a replacement DVD" The Optical drive and the motherboard are married to each other so that a particular drive only works with a particular motherboard.

That is by design, you must extract the pairing key from the old drive and write into the new drive or you can't play any game discs.
