screen not lighting up

When i turn my phone on the screen does not light up making it difficult to see.

is there a faint image? it may be the backlight which costs $$$.if the phone is still under warranty or covered by insurance try that as long as there is no evidence of water or dropping it should be fixed by the company.
you could try hard reset or if that doesn't work try powering phone off and check connector 1 for lcd- make sure no dust/corrosion. replace connector then close and power up. fingers crossed.
