2 round screw openings on top of logic board

Dear,

On the top of the iphone 5 logic board, there are 2 screw openings to connect with the frame of the iphone.

  • Could someone explain the use of this 2 connections?
  • What in case 1 of the 2 connections is broken
  • How to fix when 1 of the 2 is broken?

hi. its part of the antenna system for cell reception.

the two of them must be screwed to the frame. if one is broken it might reduce reception.

it can be replaced. plenty of videos on youtube that show you how.

the part itself can be baught on ebay.
