Logic board GPU test on a MacBook that won't power up.
Good morning iFixit Community. I've been trying to get Apple to cover my logic board replacement under the repair extension program. My model macbook applies and the symptoms I initially experienced (sudden restarts when I plug in external monitor or work in Aperture/Photoshop and computer display shutting off partway into booting) seem to align with specifications for coverage. I kept using it until one day it just stopped powering on.
I've been to both a local shop with an Apple certified tech and the Apple store 3 hours away; the first cited liquid damage which was nonexistent (Apple store genius couldn't find anything) and so I would have to pay $900 for the repair.
At the Apple store, I was told that since the foremost issue was now a power issue, then they could not run their GPU test to verify eligibility for the program, so I would still have to pay for the repair.
What can I do at this point?
Is this a good question?

I'd like to add to this that to date, Apple store reps have refused to cover the board as they cannot run the GPU test.
