The SD card slot is not reading the SD card I installed so I can't download google play store APK because says requires SD card memory. Also when I click on storage in settings it always just closes out settings. Is there a fix for this?

See if the SD Card is position specific, in other words flip it to see if you can put it in backwards. Some SD Cards can be put in backwards and really it will not read the card because it is put in wrong but it might look correct. That is all I can think of at the moment without looking at it myself. Also if the Memory Card went bad it will not read it. Try another Memory Card also.
