Touch ID not working after opening the iPhone

Hello guys,

2 days ago I dropped my phone into the water. Well, nothing serious, only upper half got wet, but I decided to open the phone to let it dry, inside I found a really little bit of water and I had a bruise on the screen (now its small, so it will all dry I hope). So after 1 day I installed all back up (I took out battery, home button, front camera with speaker and rest attached to the plate under the LCD) and now the Touch ID doesn't want to work. Home button is fine, but i can't turn the ID function ON. My fingerprints also vanished. I did everything carefully and it's impossible that I damaged the cable from the sensor.

In the Touch ID settings I can turn it on, but then I get thismessage

What I can do to fix it? Any suggestions? I did a hard reset, network setting reset and all settings reset, one by one and unplugged it a few times (then i realised that I messed the orientation of this: http://imgur.com/2NCodsj but after replacing it I still can't get the Touch ID functionality)

Thanks in advance.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hi

If you have damaged the actual flex there will be no more ID. Can you look at the flex very carefully and see if there is any tear or something damaged?

I had problem similar before where I replace the charging port and the Touch ID stop working for some strange reason, but after few hours customer call and said that the ID work fine now. So this is still mystery for me.

Good luck
