Where is my pics?

We bought a time capsule last year. We installed it and it shows to start to copy the pics. After couple of hours when we restart all of our pics ( which were in mac backup) disappered. What made with iphone were in the time capsule. But the others are missing. Does anybody know what happened?

Did you interrupt the TimeMachine backup?

Are you sure you the copy over completed?

Why did you restart the TimeCapsule or your system?

If you are using Time Machine (TM) to make backups of your Mac, and are using Photos (or iPhoto) to store you photos, then the Photos Library is what is being backed up to the Time Capsule (TC).

If, on the other hand, you have photos that are stored in separate folders from the Photos application, these too should be backed up to the TC. In this case, first select the folder that the photo(s) was placed, and then, use the Time Machine interface to go back in time to find the photo(s).
