iMac only boots into safe mode after GPU replacement

Hey Thanks for checking out my post!

I have a Late 2009 27" iMac here that had a bad GPU- showing the purple lines on the screen.

We sent out the GPU to a repair center who replaced the Graphics Chip.

I reinstalled the GPU Board with new Thermal Pastes- one for the GPU and another non conductive for the remaining contacts- K5 and K4 Pro.

The iMac only boots into Safe mode and no longer has the purple lines like it once had.

I reset the SMC, PRAM, ran AHT and only shows the HD heat sensor issue since there's an SSD installed...

Not really sure what else to try. I'm going to open it back up and check all the cables.

More info:

Apple iMac "Core i5" 2.66 27-Inch (Late 2009)

16Gb Crucial Ram

500Gb Crucial SSD

Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks,

Jason

I forgot to mention... When booting normally the progress bar goes to the halfway point and then everything disappears showing just a blank white screen. I've had to boot into safe mode with the shift key.

If it fully boots in safe mode then the hardware is fine. Reinstall your system, do any hardware updates that are available.
