Keyboard keys T U I O sometimes does not work

Hi,

I have a problem with my keyboard, sometimes the keys: T U I O does not work!

To make them work I I just go crazy on the keyboard and this starts working again, but then it stops working again.

Sometimes I also just hold the keys: TUIO at once for about 10 seconds and it seems that this starts working again...

I cannot find the instructions to check the contact points of these key (to maybe swop them to see if the problem is swopped also)

I also cannot find instructions to exchange whole keyboard.

Is it possible to find this?

Regards,

Rudolf

From the sounds of it you spilled something (liquid) into the keyboard a while ago and now the contacts are corroded to the point it's not making reliable contact. Its' time to replace the keyboard.

The keyboard is part of the upper case assembly. Here's the IFIXIT guide to gain access to it: MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Late 2011 Upper Case Replacement.

Now the fun part! The keyboards can be replaced but it's a lot of work. Or, you can just replace this assemble as is.
