Turning on device without wifi antenna installed?

Hi, I just did a full disassembly of my iphone 5s. But when it was time to remove the wifi antenna, I tore the ribbon cable. The adhesive was insane, although being gentle I couldn't save it.

Now, I reasssembled the phone in a new housing, with everything except the wifi antenna installed.

Will I do damage to the phone if I try to turn it on now? Won't I short anything?

Thought i'd be a good thing to ask first before I ruin more parts of the phone.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Should be fine, what you'll find is that WiFi connectivity will be limited or just greyed out in settings.

I tried turning it on, and it doesn't effect the phone what so ever.

Even more so, I tried wifi and cellular and they both work. Ok, i'm like 3 feet away from my router but still strange that it works ever tho the part is not in my phone. I'm holding the wifi antenna as I'm typing :D
